[Updated 3-5-2020]Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Steam version has game breaking crashes

[Update! Less than 24hrs after contacting Bandai Namco about the issue a patch was released that fixed the bug. Original article below.]

On February 29, 2020 Steam users of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 were shocked when their games crashed upon start up. It was quickly discovered that leap day was screwing with the game as setting the calendar on your computer back to February 28, 2020 made the game playable once again. This would be just a temporary fix until Bandai Namco could offer a patch, however the patch still has not been produced. In fact, many believe Bandai Namco are completely unaware that their is an issue with their product. As of the time of writing this article, a 26 page 376 comment thread about this issue on the Steam forums for the game. It details the issue and fixes in far more depth than I did.

I reached out to my contacts at Bandai Namco to ask about this problem and within 15 minutes I received a reply saying they would forward my email to the Q & A department. I have yet to receive a reply from the Q & A team but I am confident they are now aware of the issue. That said, we have no idea how long it will take to fix the issue. I will keep you updated as soon as I receive word from the Q & A team at Bandai Namco. I would urge you to share this article with as many people as you can since companies react a lot swifter when more people are discussing something.
