Free Super Mario Maker 2 Update: Play Directly with Friends in Online Multiplayer Modes

Starting today with the free 1.1.0 update, you can now play multiplayer versus and multiplayer co-op directly with people on your friends list. This feature also allows you to choose which difficulty to tackle with your friend in Course World. Additionally, you can choose to play a course from your list of locally saved courses from Coursebot.

The update also adds a list of Official Makers on to the Leaderboards section. In this new section you will find new courses made by Official Makers and ones created for collaborations or special events. Another feature added through the update is the ability to use both touch-screen and button controls when creating courses in Handheld mode. Some smaller upgrades also when into effect that are suppose to make your gameplay experience even more seamless and enjoyable.
